This is a package very suitable for those traveler who wants to have both experience Nepal and Bhutan of mysterious culture of Kathmandu valley, visit the medieval art & culture, artistic palace, breath taking scenery of sun rise over Himalaya as well as the magnificent mountain view including Mt. Everest.
Bhutan cultural Touring includes traveling by vehicle through
the Bhutanese countryside, with optional walks and day hikes to visit temples, monasteries and villages. Culture tour also include visiting museum, handicraft shops and weekend market where you will be introduce to Bhutanese food and eating habit. This tour will introduce you to Bhutan and its unique culture and tradition.Cultural tours are an excellent way to experience the people and culture of Bhutan. Day - 1
Kathmandu (Arrival) pickup from Airport & Transfer to Hotel. At evening welcome dinner with cultural program. Overnight at Himalayan Suite Hotel. (D)
Day - 2
Kathmandu (Sightseeing) after breakfast in major historical, cultural & religious places in Kathmandu (Sowyambhu, Pashupati, Patan Durbar Square and Bouddhanath). Overnight at Himalayan Suite Hotel. (B)
Day - 3
Sightseeing in oldest city Bhaktapur & drive to Nagarkot. (Nagarkot is best place to see the sunset / sunrise and stunning mountain views. Overnight at Hotel Himalayan Villa. (B)
Day - 4
Enjoy the sunrise over Himalaya & see the roof of the world and trek to Chisapani 5-6 hours. Overnight at Guest House. (B)
Day - 5
Chisapani – Sundarijal 4 hours walking and drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight at Himalayan Suite Hotel. (B)
Day - 6
After breakfast transfer to Airport and fly to Bhutan. On a clear day the panoramic views of the Himalaya are sensational, including Everest, but particularly exciting is the approach through the Bhutanese foothills and the landing, including a few steep turns to land at the tiny airstrip of Paro. In Paro you will be received by your Bhutanese guide and transferred to Hotel. Overnight at Hotel. (BLD)
Day - 7
Full day Paro Valley sightseeing. Visit Drugyel Dzong, the ruined victorious fortress of the Drukpas, which once defended Paro from Tibetan invasion. On a clear day you can see spectacular view of sacred Mt. Jumolhari from the vicinity of Dzong area. On the way back view Taktsang Monastery, the most famous and sacred monastery of Bhutan perched on the side of a cliff at 900m above the valley floor. The name Taktsang means Tiger's Nest. Evening stroll around Paro town. Overnight at Hotel. (BLD)
Day - 8
Thimphu [Sightseeing] After the breakfast drive to Thimphu city tour, morning visit National Library, Paper Factory, Bhutan’s National Animal – Takins, Visit the Memorial Chorten (Stupa built in memory of Third King of Bhutan) Zilukha Nunnery. [After lunch] Dechenphodrang Monastery, Thimphu Dzong (fortress in Bhutan) can be visited after 5pm in summer and 4pm winter, Overnight at Hotel in Thimphu. (BLD)
Day - 9
Thimphu-Paro Hike to Taktshang Monastery (Tiger’s nest): This is Bhutan’s most recognizable cultural icon perched 800m/2640ft up a seemingly sheer cliff. Although it was tragically and mysteriously consumed by fire in April 1998 it has now been restored to its former glory. It is believed that in the 8th century, the great tantric master Guru Rimopche/ Padmasambhava (2nd Buddha) flew on the back of a tigress to the site where the monastery now stands. Three hours hike (to and fro) Visit. Later stroll around the town and see how locals live. Overnight at Hotel in Paro. (BLD)
Day - 10
After breakfast, drive to Paro International airport and fly to Kathmndu. Overight at Gokarna Forest Resort with farewell dinner. (BD)
Day - 11
After breakfast transfer to airport for your departure. (B)
