6 days Masai mara, Lake Nakuru & Amboseli

Day - 1

Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, heading towards the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. As you journey through the scenic Great Rift Valley, there will be a brief stop at a viewpoint for a panoramic view of the valley below. Arriving in Masai Mara in time for lunch, you will check into your luxury lodge or tented camp and have some time to relax. In the late afternoon, embark on your first game drive across the rolling plains, where you will have the opportunity to spot lions, elephants, zebras, and other incredible wildlife. After an exciting introduction to the Mara, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Jambo Mara Safari Lodge (wooden cottage) or similar.

Day - 2

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive, the best time to catch predators in action as they hunt. Explore different areas of the reserve, heading towards the famous Mara River, where you may witness hippos and crocodiles basking in the sun. During the migration season, this is where thousands of wildebeest and zebras make their perilous crossing. Enjoy a picnic lunch under a scenic acacia tree before continuing your exploration of the vast savannah, searching for cheetahs, leopards, and other fascinating creatures. In the evening, return to your lodge for relaxation, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at Jambo Mara Safari Lodge (wooden cottage) or similar.

Day - 3

After breakfast, bid farewell to Masai Mara and embark on a scenic drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arriving in time for lunch, check into your lodge and take a short break before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is famous for its flamingos, creating a pink hue along the lake’s shores, as well as its large population of endangered rhinos. Keep an eye out for leopards lounging in the trees, Rothschild’s giraffes, and the elusive tree-climbing lions. As the sun sets, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Buraha Zenoni Hotel Nakuru or similar.

Day - 4

After an early breakfast, set off on a drive towards Amboseli National Park, known for its large herds of elephants and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The journey takes you through the Kenyan countryside, with a lunch stop along the way. Arriving in Amboseli in the afternoon, check into your lodge or luxury tented camp and take some time to unwind. Later, enjoy an evening game drive, where you will witness elephants roaming freely against the backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain. As dusk falls, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Little Amanya Camp or similar.

Day - 5

Start your day with an early morning game drive, the best time to capture clear views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds set in. The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, and a wide array of bird species. After breakfast, continue exploring the park, stopping at scenic viewpoints to observe the stunning landscapes. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed within the park before continuing with more game viewing in the afternoon. As the sun sets over the African plains, return to your lodge for a well-deserved dinner and an overnight stay at Little Amanya Camp or similar.

Day - 6

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast while soaking in the last views of the Amboseli wilderness. After checking out, begin your journey back to Nairobi, with a stop along the way for lunch. Upon arrival in the city, you will be dropped off at your preferred location, bringing your unforgettable 6-day wildlife safari to an end.
