In Azerbaijan, the summers are hot and last from June to September. The weather gets quite hot and uncomfortable and in Baku, temperatures can even reach 40 degrees centigrade. If you are visiting though, check out the highlands like Sheki or Quba where the weather might be perfect for hiking or the beaches along Absheron Peninsula. So, if you’re not planning to stick to the hot lowlands, summer could actually be the best time to travel to Azerbaijan.

While the snow of the mountains doesn’t begin to melt until mid-April, Spring is a great time for city exploration, historical tours, and picnics among the wildflowers.
